My Puppy Is Almost Seven Months Old Can I Still Teach Him To Hunt Rabbit?

Can i still teach my puppy to hunt rabbit even tho he is that old? How can i train him?
Also should i feed the rabbits in the area to try and increase the population?
he is a westie/boston that loves to chase the cats and we have some nice fields in the area so i figured that rabbit hunting will help him. Any suggestions will greatly help

I Just Got A New West Highland White Terrier Puppy. He Is 8 Weeks Old And Is Perfect, Besides His Pooping.?

He poops about 6 times an hour, and he seems to strain himself when he poops. He sometimes whimpers. He isn’t constipated because each time he tries, he poops. The poop isn’t very hard or very soft, it’s right about in the middle. I don’t understand what would be making this happen. He eats fine, doesn’t throw up, and is active. He just has this pooping problem.

Half Way Through Housetraining With My 5 Month Westie Puppy?

I have been trying to take my puppy out before bedtime to ensure his bowel is empty so he could last for the night before I take him out 6am in the morning but he didn’t like to pee at night. I have been cleaning his mistake every morning for a week already. What can I do to resolve this? I would really like to paper train him at the same time so he could release himself at the right spot inside if he couldn’t hold it, is it possible and how?
here’s the my puppy schedule:
* 6am (tried out with pup but he already peed on the floor inside the apartment)
* 7am feed
* 8am out with pup
* 12:30pm out with pup
* 4:30pm out with pup
* 7pm feed

Help!! 7 Month Old Westie Puppy Still Weeing In The House?

Hi my wetie pup has just done a wee on my daughters bed, I’m really worried that we will never get her house trained!!!
We had her trained to use puppy pads by 10 weeks old.
She stop using these herself when she was 4 months, now however she has started to go for a wee around the house, weeing on my daughers bed is a first though. she know to go to the door if she wants out, and does this most of the time, I feel that we are going backwards. Any suggestion??? thanks

I have been told both yes ad no. I’m not going to be home every single min of everyday so do you think I need a crate to put it in so it won’t chew and pee on everything. If you say no/yes please tell me why. Also if i get a westie do you think I would need to take it out more than a larger dog, because of its size? Thanks so much

Fail To Paper Train My 4.5 Months Old Puppy. Help?

I just got a 4.5 months old Westie puppy. I have tried putting him in crate, training pad, etc. I would put him at the designated location when I see him sniffing around but he just would do it while I am there watching. Nothing seems to work and he pees and poos at different location. It’s been really frustrating what should I do?

Puppy Training?

I have a 14-week-old Westie puppy. During the past week or so everytime I bring her outside she runs from me; I think she’s being playful.
She’ll run a certain distance from me, and then lay down, then I’ll go to pick her up and she just keeps running from me. People have told me to flip her on her back when she acts up to get her to obey but I can’t catch her to do that. I can run faster than her, but shes so small it’s hard to catch her.
Just now she had to go out (it’s 3am, she usually needs to go out at this time everynight) and even though she was half asleep I just spend 15 minutes (no less) chasing her around the yard and I’m ready to kick the livin crap out of her.
I’ve considered putting her on a leash everytime I bring her outside and I guess that would be the obvious solution, but I feel like it would take to long to leash her everytime she has to go out since shes a puppy, she can’t hold very long. and she always bites the leash so it’s pointless.
any ideas?

What’s The Best Way To Stop My Puppy From Crying At Night?

He sleeps in my room and has puppy training pads in there too, he wakes me up when he does the toilet which is fine but sometimes he wakes me up for now reason. Do i comfort him or ignore him or tell him No? He’s 8 weeks old, a westie cross bichon. Thank you
