Can You Please Help Me Potty Train My New Puppy?

I have a yorkie/westie mix. She’s a really smart dog, but even when I’m outside with her for hours at a time, she still comes right inside and pees on the carpet.
I’m crate training her, so when I put her in the crate, even if we’ve come inside from being outside a long long time, she’ll pee and poop in the crate.
I’m not leaving her in the crate too long. She doesn’t even give me time to shut the door before she’s peeing in there, and then she makes a point of it to get herself completely soaked in her own urine.
I tried to ask this question before (last night) but most of the answers treated me like I was a complete idiot and left my brand new 11 week old puppy in a cage for 4 hours without giving her the chance to go to the bathroom.
- When she sniffs around, I take her out.
- When she wakes up from a nap, I take her out.
- When she’s finished eating/drinking, we go out for 20 – 30 minutes.
- When she gets up at 4:30 in the morning, usually 3 hours before me, I take her out.
She doesn’t have a “pee place” besides outside. Outside is the only place I need her to pee.
Please, can someone help me given this information?
Last time, the answers were not very helpful, and I’m just needing a hand with this.

Can Anyone Help Me Potty Train My New Puppy?

I have an adorable new yorkie/westie mix puppy. She is 10 or 11 weeks old, and I’m working on potty training her.
I live in a 4 bedroom apartment with 3 other girls. I’m 20 years old, and am a full-time student, even in the summer. I’m working on crate training with her, and I spend alot of time with her – but she seems to ONLY pee in the crate lately. I take her outside to play around and use the bathroom for sometimes 2 hours at a time, and she’ll come right home and pee on the carpet, or wait until I put her back in the crate and pee/poop there.
I cannot afford to have my roommates hate me for having a dog that stinks up the house – I’m trying to do everything right, but for some reason, I just can’t get her to catch the hang of this house breaking thing.
Someone, PLEASE! Help me.
Thanks so much for your time.

My Westie Has Lived With Us For 5 Months And Is Still Not Potty Trained. Help Please!!!!?

We have a West Highland White Terrier. She is the cutest dog we’ve ever had and one of the best. She behaves well around strangers and likes children (too hyper for babies though). She gets plenty of attention and someone is home all day everyday with her. Yet she still goes to the bathroom in the house. She may do good for about 3 or 4 days but then she has an accident again. It’s horrible. I mean we shampoo our carpets all the time because we try to get the smell out so she knows that this is where you don’t go to the bathroom. What can I do to potty train my dog. She has accidents also when people come over. That is so embarrassing. We think that may be from overstimulation, because she is so little and people all love her and want to go to her at one time. Anyways. I desperately need your help to fix this problem with my dog. The rest of my family has just about given up.

Ah! Help! Potty Training!!!?

Here’s a little background info on the issue…
My boyfriend and I have a Westie, Oscar. He is basically potty trained just has a few forgivable accidents every now and then but that’s fine because he’s not even two yet. We decided to get another puppy while he is still a puppy himself. Her name is Scarlet.
Scarlet is a Yorkie/Maltese/Pekingese. She is about 11 weeks old. We got her and the breeder said that she was about 80% potty pad trained, we brought her home and it was more like 50% tops.
So our problem is… we want her to go potty outside. We are trying the crate training. Her crate is actually our 1/2 bathroom with a gate up, she has her food and water in there because they are less likely to go potty where they eat. She has never had an accident in the crate. We take her to go potty and say go potty go potty go potty if she goes potty then she gets to be out of the crate and play for awhile if she does not go potty then she goes back in the crate and we try again about 20 mins later. She will not go potty all of the sudden!! I put her outside and she just sits & shakes (it’s freezing out by the way, we’re in MN). Then I feel bad because it’s so cold and put her back in the crate and try again and repeat and repeat. She still will not go and I’m afraid of like a urinary tract infection or holding in her poo too long.
Am I doing everything right? Any suggestions?! Any help at all would be sooo great! My boyfriend loves her but is extremely impatient with the potty training so I do it all (which is fine! I agreed to it so that we could get her =]) and I want to train her as quick as possible.
