ok, so my family is looking for a small dog that are good for people with allergies. We want a dog that is nice, obedient, NOT rowdy and does not bark a lot. We have kids come to our house often and we want a dog that doesnt scare them, instead interact and play with them. Is a toy poodle better than a westie? I’ve heard westies bark alot. And my family wants a nice and silent dog. So please help.

I am thinking about getting a family dog. I have two children, ages 9 and 10. I have allergies to dogs, so I am trying to go with a dog who doesn’t shed so much.
As far as intelligence, training, and temperment, which do you think would be best – westie or poodle?
