House-trained Dog Is Going Poo In My Room?
Filed under Care & Training Q&As
My house-trained (or so I thought) Westie has recently been doing her stuff on the floor in my room. She’s three years old, and hasn’t had any problems before this. It started approximately three months ago. Six months ago we got a new puppy, I’m not sure if this is a factor.
Also, Mitzi (the Westie) does her pooing in front me in my room. If she is not receiving attention in my room (no where else) she will go to a specific corner and do her business. Obviously I scold her and put her outside for a bit in case there’s anything else she needs to do, but is there any way I can stop this behavior?
What Can I Do To Stop My Westie From Going On The Floor At Night?
Filed under Care & Training Q&As
He is house trained and has been for over a year. My 11yr old insists on having him in the bed with her but doesn’t respond when he wakes her to take him out. Instead of waking me he either goes on her floor or in my little one’s room. Normally if I’m awakened by the jingle of his tags its too late. I’ve found that when I simply tell him “no pee-ing on the floor” in a stern tone he won’t do it. He reverts right back to it if I don’t “speak” to him about it nightly.
I don’t know if I’m fortunate or unfortunate that he is really smart. Is there anything I can do besides crate him at night?

My Westie Puppy Is Going To The Toilet In Her Crate.?
Filed under Care & Training Q&As
we have recently moved a month ago, in our previous house she was house trained, and can understand sit, stay.
Because of the new enviroment we decided to crate train her, which was helping her settle in.
over the last week she has been going to the toilet in her crate, she also used to bark if she wanted to go out but no longer does this? why is this? and how do i ensure she doesn’t do it, as i have always been told and read that a dog will not go to the toilet in their bed area. help!!
