Pls Read, Do You Think This Dog Has A Good Chance?

so my neighbor has a puppy. its her females puppy. he was bred to be sold for 7000 dollars (she says) but they got to keep it. that’s because the pro. breeder is planning on showing the dog. first off, the female they already have has an over grown coat, is only washed every 6 months or so (its dirty and has a strange odor, not dog like) and its ear hair is cut oddly because one of the people it lives with decided they could cut them herself. these dogs really aren’t kept up and they are fed anything with real quality, just whats cheapest. these aren’t the type of people you can speak your opinion around so its no use in suggesting anything. they have already started cutting the pups hair and it has never had a bath. its almost 10 months old.
and i pretty sure they plan on showing up to the competition with this dog as is, then handing it off to the man who is showing it. he has won things before so they think he will know what to do. its never gotten any training. its a little furry white thing. i think its a westie? idk…
my question is, do you think this dog will really do well under these circumstances? they are expecting 1st place in at least one thing.

They’re full of crap and of course a dirty, untrained dog will not win first, second or third place.
Show dogs start training as baby puppies, they are bathed before each show and groomed on a daily or weekly basis (depending on the coat type).

Show dogs are well-trained, well-kept dogs. If this dog is really $7000.00 worth, it’ll definitely have to a registered dog with papers. So a definite NO – this poor dog will be lucky if it is even allowed to be entered into the competition…

I’ve had four baths. I’m only 9 weeks old. I’m a show dog. That dog will NEVER make it. They won’t even let her in! She puts showdogs like me to shame. I’m sorry, but it’s the cold , hard, truth.

I am with EVERYONE on their answers.
These people are idiots! Dogs are doomed to fail..and probably will be tossed aside or shipped off to the pound cause they lost and these idiots will try again.
    Sick people.

This pup won’t stand a chance without proper grooming and training.
But the breeder will tell them when they show up to competition…
