i got one too! They do not get big at all. The size they are as a puppy is about the size they will be all of their life. He will weigh about 16 pounds when they get big. You should get one becasue they have a lot of energy. My dog is 2 years old and he is still running around the house! Good luck and hope it helped.
they are small- about 20 lbs or so when fully grown. That being said, it is probably something you should have looked in to before you got the dog, don’t you think? If you google West Highland White Terriers, you will get more information than you could read in a day and a good bet is that somewhere in there it tells you all about the personality and size.
Go to AKC site. (NOT “doggies-for-babies” sites like that fulla-bull “wiki”)
READ THE BREED STANDARD for complete & correct info. on every real/recognized breed.
Keep in mind that BYB-ed & puppymilled junk will NOT closely fit the standard.
RESEARCH ***FIRST****!!!! Do your own homework!
Male: 22lbs., Female: 17lbs. That’s the weight of both of mine, neither one is overweight, the male is very sturdy and muscular, the female is also very sturdy, strong and not so muscular.
Around 20 lbs or a little less. They are about the same size a Cairn Terriers.
