Having Problems With 7 Month Old Westie Pup Weeing In The House?

Hi my wetie pup has just done a wee on my daughters bed, I’m really worried that we will never get her house trained!!!
We had her trained to use puppy pads by 10 weeks old.
She stop using these herself when she was 4 months, now however she has started to go for a wee around the house, weeing on my daughers bed is a first though. she know to go to the door if she wants out, and does this most of the time, I feel that we are going backwards. Any suggestion??? thanks.

how come this is in newborn and baby lol
just keep asking her to go outside with you and make her have a wee then. i did that with my dog,if your patent then she will learn.

she is leaving her scent around the house as her new home
to stop her weeing take her out every hour to a certain part of the garden and she will soon learn
i like the spelling mistake you put WETIE not westie
    ironic eh?

some take a little longer than others to learn try letting her out at set times during the day and keep water bowl away an hour before last visit out !!!!!! (providing she’s not having treats) our little boy was great from 10 weeks then at 4/5 months just kept sprinkling for bout a month and now he wont even go in the garden will just wait for walk !!! painful!!! for me always out!!!

keep your daughters bedroom door shut. restrict the pup to one room until she gets the idea of correct toileting, maybe you could go back to puppy pads if that worked well, as a temporary measure. also, look into having her spayed – it may be that she is becoming sexually mature and using her urine as a mark for other dogs.

Animals especially dogs respond well to ‘bribery & rewards’. Try getting her into a routine of say going out first thing in the morning for a wee & when she does it give her a favourite treat./titbit Then again later on, then last thing at night etc …she will soon put 2 & 2 together & will associate the two things &want to go out & will want you to be pleased with her & will definitely want to keep getting her treats. Whatever you do dont hit her … let her know its wrong tho, at the moment she is very young and knows no better Good luck

You might want to try this in the pets section???

Try putting her in a cage, big enough for her to move around and comfortably sleep, without being too big where she can have a corner to go potty in. then take her outside every hour or so, give her a treat everytime she does it outside and clap and say “yay” and be all excited. haha so she realizes that when ever she goes to the bathroom outside she gets positive attention, dogs respond better to praise than scolding. and still let her out to play, in a small part of the house for about an hour then put her back in the cage. she will get the hang of it and since you said she was trained before it shouldnt take her long at all. Make sure your giving her enough attention, sometimes dogs see the child is getting all the atteniton they want and start taking the childs toys or going to the bathroom on their bed! My dog did that soo many times, we started taking him to the park a few times a week and it stopped! Good luck!
