Dog Wetting Bed And Then Drinks Water?

I have a Westie and he is 2 years old. I house trained him when he was little. Over the past couple of months, he has peed in my bed at night a few times. Then when I get up to take him out after I realize he has peed, he goes straight to the water bowl and drinks a lot of water. I have not tried taking up his water at night, because during the day it seems like he never gets enough water. Please help! Thanks

I have a Westie as well! He always drinks water just before we go to bed. He knows he’s going to bed because I take his bed from the lounge to my room. Straight away gulps it down! He doesn’t drink much during the day either. Could be a Westie trait! However, my dog doesn’t do anything at night time inside! He leaves that for the day time!!
Has there been any change, like a new boyfriend or anything like that. If he is sleeping in bed with you he could be marking his territory. But probably best to take him to the vet like the other person said just in case he does have a kidney problem!

May have a kidney problem or diabetes ( yes dogs can get that) Get him vet checked asap.

Please please please take your Westie to the vet for a urine sample.

Try putting some ice cubes in his water bowl for his last drink at night.
