Does Your West Highland White Terrier Have This?

I have a 3 year old westie. He has a yellow stripe down his back. Is this normal, my step-cousin said her westie has this too. We got our Westie when he was about 7 months, so I don’t know if he was born with this? Also do dogs have taste buds? Just curious about that.

And yes they do have taste buds. That is why they will turn their noses up at certain foods and wolf down others.
Yes the yellow stripe is normal. I work at a grooming salon and every westie ive seen there has had a stripe
