Can Anyone Tell If They Know Roughly How Many Pups A West Highland White Terrier May Have In Her Litter?
Filed under Care & Training Q&As
the average litter is between 3 and 5 but my westie had 7 puppies in october last year, She was just on 18 months old and it was her first litter so it was quite a surprise when she had seven as she did not look that big. good luck hopes eveything goes well

is it her first litter? as with many dogs, there litter will range from 2 -6 pupps, i would suggest you are looking at about 2 -3 if it is the first litter
My Westie had 6 puppies and she was just a little over a year old
**NOTE** I am not the one that bred her!! I rescued her after she was surrendered by the idiot who bred her!
3 Westies have litters of around 3 to 4 puppies.

anything from 1 to 8 pups! you can get an ultrasound done but that doesnt always give the right amount as pups can be laying ‘side by side’ so it looks like one pup instead of two etc.
Too many MORE DOGS = MORE SHITE
First litters are generally smaller, you can get an x-ray done to determine how many pups she has inside her. That way you’ll know what to expect, too, if something should happen during delivery.
3-6 but could be upto ten doubt it though
